First of all, scammers will post advertisements for purchasing gift cards on Chinese Baidu Post Bar, Nigeria Forum, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and leave their own Whatsapp and WeChat to lure you to sell him gift cards with high prices and large demands.

 

If you accidentally add a scammer as an online friend, he will take the initiative to chat with you, and sometimes send some transaction and transfer records, which in fact are forged by them to gain your trust. Please be cautious about that.

 

When you are going to sell your own gift card, you will be asked to send the card code and the card picture first instead of being paid by the scammer first. So please be vigilant about that because he will immediately spend the balance in your gift card and will not give you any feedback instead of waiting for your initiative inquiry.

 

Then when you make an inquiry about that, scammers usually cheat you in four ways.

The first one- He will ask if you still have a card? If you say "no", he will tell you that the gift card you just sent is invalid and send you the fake evidence. If you do not find it fake or admit that, Unfortunately, you are successfully scammed out of one of your gift cards; if you ask them to pay for this card, you will be deleted directly from his friends list and be blacklisted.

 

The second one- If you say "yes", you will receive the feedback that the gift card you just sent to him is valid. But he will make excuses that he is busy and lead you to continue to sell cards with his promise to pay you late together. When you send all the gift cards and ask for a payment, the scammer will disappear at this time, delete you from his Whatsapp and WeChat and blacklist you. Unfortunately, you have been cheated; If you ask them to pay the first the gift card and then  continue to send the next gift cards to him, they will usually pay for it because they want to scammed out of more gift cards from you.

 

The third one- the scammer will give your feedback that the gift card is consumed and send you a screenshot of the card verification. There is a fact that he spends some of the balance in your gift card for the first time and then spends the rest in it again, then there will be a sign that the gift card is consumed out. So he feeds you back a screenshot of this sign and if you admit it, he will lead you to continue to send him gift cards and cheat you for more gift cards. Now, please stop all transactions with him immediately.

 

The fourth one- After receiving your first gift card, he deletes you from his Whatsapp and WeChat and blacklists you.
