Uganda is our new station of Tbay's “Donate 1,000 schools in Africa" program.

On 21th, March, Tbay visited the Tower of Hope Nursery and Primary School,located in Kyadondo County, Nangabo Sub County, Kiti B Village in Wakiso District. The school is approximately 16km from the center of Kampala. Obviously the location is in a rural area of Uganda, and the conditions are poor. The event aims to raise funds and awareness for the school's needs.

Tbay did some investigation before choosing this school, and it was selected because they provide education and care for the underprivileged children and it has limited resources and lacks basic infrastructure. Therefore, we saw a need of donating school items to facilitate the teaching and learning process, we want to help those who are genuinely in need.

There are just a few classrooms, and the school also lacks basic amenities such as school desks and chairs, books, stationery, making it a challenge for students to learn and grow. We provide them with the necessary amenities such as purchase textbooks, pencils, rubbers & sharpeners, crayons, art books, bottles.

The pupils were overwhelmed by the gifts that brought smiles on their faces, the teachers were grateful and thanked us for the thoughtful gifts. As one of the teachers noted “Thank you so much for the gifts you have gifted the pupils. The school items will improve their learning experience as most parents and guardians do not have the money to purchase the school requirements.”

The Director of the school appreciated for choosing their school and giving to the pupils who are underprivileged.
