On August 28th and 30th , Tbay visited 2 schools in Tanzania: Tanzanite Secondary School,located in Manyara Region at Mererani, and Nshupu Secondary School, located in Arusha, which are the 48th and 49th school we donated for our “Donating 1,000 Schools” program in Africa.
We selected those schools because around this area people were struggling with season harvesting, which makes them lack of essentials, and most of them are too poor to afford basic needs. Especially for girls who are coming from very poor families, a shortage of fundamental female hygiene products affects their abilities to fully participate in education. Therefore, it’s imperative that efforts are made to address this issue and ensure those girls have equitable access to the essentials and healthcare support.
Luckily, this time we had a partnership with Moja Foundation, an American foundation. When we first made contact with their staff, it just so happened that they were actively seeking donors to support local schools and children. This serendipitous encounter let us believe that Moja Foundation perfectly aligned with our collaborative vision. Both parties realized that we shared the same mission and objectives shortly: to enhance the education and living conditions of children.
The speech from Moja Chairperson of Moja foundation was talking about the donation activities from Tbay. In this donation, we brought girls with underwear and sanitary pads and 163 students in total were benefited.
This partnership not only allows us to fulfill our social responsibility, but also enables us to collaborate with a passionate team in making a meaningful contribution to improving the local education system. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Moja Foundation in the future, jointly creating more opportunities that benefit the community.
After the donation, the local school teachers and students showed their gratitude to us and they hoped that in the future, Tbay will assist them again, and our “Donating 1,000 Schools” program in Africa keeps going well until now, we will help more people, especially girls in poor areas.
