How Does the Bill Payment Feature Work?
To pay your bill using your Tbay points, follow these simple steps:
1) Go to Your Account Page: Open the Tbay app and navigate to your account page. You will see a new "Pay Bills" button next to the "Withdraw" button. Click on "Pay Bills." 📲
2) Select a Service: You will be taken to the services page. Currently, you can choose to buy Airtime or Data. We will soon add electricity and TV/Cable bill payment options. Select the service you want to pay for. 📡
3) Enter Your Information: On the next screen, enter your phone number, select your service provider, and choose the plan. Make sure to press "Check" after entering your number to ensure it is correct and to fetch the information for the service provider. 📞
4) Review Payment Summary: After pressing submit, you will see the Payment Summary, which includes details and the conversion from Tbay points to Nairas. Double-check all the provided details before confirming the payment. 📝
5) Confirm Payment: Once confirmed, your payment will be processed. 💸
Checking Payment Status
To check the status of your payment, go to the Bills History.
There are three different statuses you might encounter:
Success: This indicates that your airtime or data purchase was successful.
Unconfirmed: This status appears when the order is paid but there has been no response from the service provider. It typically lasts for up to 5 minutes.
Failed: This status occurs when the order fails due to issues with the service provider. Your Tbay points will be returned to your account balance immediately if the payment fails.
Terms & Conditions for Bill Payment on Tbay
- Users must complete three successful gift card transactions to use the bill payment feature.
- Users can pay bills online on Tbay only if their account balance is 1 point or more.
- Bonus points cannot be used for bill payments; they are exclusively for cash withdrawals.
