On October 8, 2025, the Tbay team visited Anglican Nursery and Primary School in Lagos for our monthly installment of the “1000 Schools in Africa” program. This visit carried more than supplies, it carried hope. The school, which serves children from different local communities, was chosen for its genuine need and eagerness to grow. When we reached out, the headteacher’s warmth and openness made the collaboration feel like a shared mission.
Despite the gentle rain and a tight school schedule, the atmosphere was filled with smiles, laughter, and purpose. Local government representatives joined the school leadership and our team in a short discussion about how this donation contributes to long-term learning goals. Afterwards, about 70 pupils across various grades received school essentials from our donation list:

Reusable water bottles
School nametags
Snack packs
Wall clocks
A football for playtime
The children’s faces lit up with excitement as they received their items, small gifts that mean so much in their daily learning journey. Though the rain limited our usual outdoor games, the joy in the air was undeniable. We concluded the day by formally presenting the donation package to the school and government representatives, marking the beginning of what we hope will be a lasting partnership.
Why This School?
Anglican Nursery and Primary School is a government-run institution where resources are scarce but dreams are abundant. We chose this school because we believe education is the most powerful tool for change. A single exercise book or pencil might seem small, but in the hands of a determined child, it becomes a stepping stone to a brighter future. Every effort to support such schools sends waves of hope beyond classrooms, into families, neighborhoods, and entire communities.
