Tbay Charity Event in Tanzania-September, 2023On September 25th, Tbay paid a visit to Muungano Secondary School and Nkoanekoli Secondary School, located in Arusha,Tanzania, which are the 51st and 52nd school we donated for our “Donating 1,000 Schools” program in Africa.
We selected those schools because a significant portion of its students come from low-income families, and there was a pronounced issue of girls missing school during their menstrual periods. The headmaster also confirmed that they encountered a substantial problem with girls skipping school during their periods, and the government's allocation of sanitary pads was insufficient. While a limited number of donations meant that not every girl had received essential supplies, and we distributed underwear, sanitary pads and bags this time, benefiting 150 students, with each girl obtained 2 underwear and 4 pads. Our goal is to improve girls' healthcare conditions, and it calls upon all of us to focus on girls' healthcare issues.
Upon our arrival in the community, the Tbay team was warmly welcomed by the school.
After the distribution of items, the community's teachers expressed their gratitude with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the Tbay team's presence and support. They also emphasized the need for more educational resources to aid the children's learning and improve girls’ healthcare conditions.
