In November 2024, our journey took us to Gyankama Methodist Basic School in Ghana, where we hosted a memorable charity event. Here’s a recap of our time there and how we contributed to the school’s development.
About Gyankama Methodist Basic School
Located in the eastern part of Ghana, Gyankama Methodist Basic School was established in 2001. With a team of 16 dedicated teachers and a student body of 250 pupils, the school has grown steadily over the years.
In 2019, the community elders came together to construct a new classroom block to accommodate the increasing number of students eager to learn. The school is surrounded by serene plantations and a welcoming local community that provides a peaceful environment for children to study and grow.
Highlights from the Tbay Charity Event

1. Welcome Address
The event began with a heartfelt welcome from a school representative, who expressed gratitude for Tbay’s initiative and introduced our “Donate to 1000 Schools in Africa” program to the students and teachers in attendance.

The headmistress of Gyankama Methodist Basic School shared the struggles faced by both students and teachers due to limited resources. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude for Tbay’s contributions and also highlighted how these supplies would positively impact the students’ education and daily lives.
