Some scammers don't message you alone. They add you to a group chat — a "VIP buyers group" or "official trading group." It often has a logo or name that looks like Tbay's.
The group is there to make you trust it faster. You see other "members" saying they sold their cards and got paid. It looks real. But those accounts are usually fake too — run by the same scammer, posting fake proof to rush you into acting quickly.

The message often comes from a profile using Tbay's logo, colors, or a name like "Tbay Support" or "Tbay Agent." This makes the message look official — even though the platform it's coming from already tells you it's fake.
This is the most important thing to remember: a logo, name, or profile photo can be copied by anyone. But the platform can't be faked. Tbay does not trade on WhatsApp. It doesn't matter how official the profile looks.
The One-Question Test
You don't need to evaluate the rate, the group, the urgency, or the profile picture individually. One question settles all of them at once:
"Is this happening inside the Tbay app?"
If the answer is no, none of the other details matter — the rate, the group's apparent legitimacy, and the sender's name are all irrelevant, because the transaction was never going to be real in the first place.
